Purchasing a home is one of the biggest investments you will ever make. You're gonna want to educate yourself on that investment. A home inspection will help to identify defects within the home that may not be obvious to you. These defects can vary from simple repairs or general maintenance issues to major replacement of systems or safety concerns.
A home inspection is a visual examination of the home's major structure, systems and components that are visible and safely accessible. Areas of the home that are inspected include: Roofing, Electrical Systems, Grading/Drainage, Foundation, Basement, HVAC, Attic/Insulation, Stairways, Walkways, Plumbing, Water Heater, Fireplace/Chimney, Decks/Porches, Kitchens/Bathrooms.
Once your appointment is made and pricing has been finalized, you will receive an email containing pre-inspection agreements and a pricing summary for your scheduled services. Please ensure that all agreements are reviewed and signed prior to your inspection date.
The home inspection is followed up with a detailed report electronically sent to the client revealing our findings and containing images of any issues needing immediate attention or of general maintenance recommendations. We are always available to answer questions after the inspection report has been delivered.
Absolutely! Services like Radon Testing and Oil Tank Sweep require specific licensing or specialized equipment and are beyond the scope of a standard home inspection. Spending a little in the beginning to have peace of mind can save you a lot later on should any issues arise that these additional services could have identified.
